I was just reviewing my notes. And decided to brush up on my knowledge of Psoriasis.
What Psoriasis is, is an autoimmune disease that affects the skin. The autoimmune system mistakes healthy skin cells as a pathogen (infectious agent).

It can affect any part of the body. Including the nails.

It appears as reddened patches of dry skin and can be covered with silvery/white-grey scales
This is a genetic/hereditary.
(the body is utterly amazing. as soon as the immune system recognizes a pathogen, it destroys it. unfortunatly in some cases, it can also mistake healthy tissues/organs as pathogens)
I love using Youtube videos to help me understand disease processes.
One video I came across from, this man decided not to use any medications, creams/ointment or other medical treatment.
He toke pictures of his skin for 60 days of the improvement. He does not let you in on the secret, but according to his website he made some sort of a healthy shake.
Here is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYdXn24dk44

Now according to Mayo Clinic, a reliable medical source that us people in the medical field use for further research, states that there is no known research that supports a healthy diet can cure Psoriasis.
But it does include Alternative medication to help treat psoriasis, such as Aloe Vera.

From my studies, an ointment/cream called Micanol, is the topical medication used to treat Psoriasis. The patient must use this until the skin is entirely clear.
Since the man who beat Psoriasis wouldn’t let us in the know of what is in his miracle elixir, I did further research on my own!
I then came across a journal by a man who went on a Pagano diet (pretty much vegan diet, but it used specifically for Psoriasis). He read a book by Dr. Pagano called “Healing Psoriasis: The Natural Alternative”
Apparently, this is what improved his Psoriasis!
